GCash launches GCash Overseas, catering to the financial needs of Filipinos globally. This expansion brings the app’s digital financial services to 16 additional markets.
Filipinos residing in countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and various nations across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East can now access GCash services. It will also go live in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait next month.
This development is particularly significant for the over 13 million Filipinos living abroad, providing them with a reliable and secure method to manage finances and support families back home.
“With GCash now available beyond the Philippines, we are responding to the needs of global Filipinos in these cashless digital economies, providing them with a safe, secure, and efficient fintech solution to send money back home,” said Paul Albano, General Manager of GCash International.
The app’s features enable users to send remittances, pay bills, and purchase mobile phone load, among other services. Additionally, GCash has forged partnerships with Ikon Solutions Asia, Inc., and Alipay+ to expand its reach and utility. These collaborations ensure that Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have access to essential digital financial tools.
Moreover, the service was recently integrated with the national QRs of Malaysia and South Korea, making scanning seamless in these countries.
The company also has a strategic alliance with Visa with the GCash Visa card, further enhancing payment options for users worldwide. With these initiatives, GCash is poised to revolutionize financial accessibility for Filipinos, no matter where they are.
How to Register
- Download and install the GCash app.
- Select the country you are in and input the mobile number you are going to use with GCash.
- Enter all necessary information.
- Set an MPIN then proceed to log in.
- The app will prompt you to scan your PH Passport or valid PH ID to verify your account.
- Prepare for facial verification via selfie.
- After providing additional information, wait for the SMS confirmation.
- Enter your MPIN to begin using GCash.
