Recently, alleged live images of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra surfaced on Weibo, giving us a sneak peek at its Leica-inspired design and a massive camera module. The premium flagship is set to launch later this month.
The image shows a stylish two-tone design, with one side featuring a vegan leather finish and the other side sporting a smooth surface, possibly glass. The sleek look is enhanced by curved corners, which gives it an ergonomic look.
Its most striking feature is undoubtedly the oversized camera module, which appears to house four cameras, including a periscope lens. The Leica logo is also on full display, confirming the ongoing partnership between Xiaomi and Leica.
Reports suggest that the camera setup will include a 1-inch 50MP Sony LYT 900 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a Samsung JN5 sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX 858 telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 200MP periscope camera with a 4.3x optical zoom.
Additionally, the premium flagship is rumored to have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. It will also run on HyperOS 2.0 on top of Android 15.
Expect to see more details as the device’s launch date nears. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to debut in China towards the end of February, with a global unveiling set to take place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.
