Xiaomi rolls out Android 16 to flagship phones via HyperOS 2.3

The phones will receive region-specific builds for better performance and system stability.

Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 16 to select flagship devices through its latest HyperOS 2.3 update. The software is now available for the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro in global and European markets.

Each phone receives region-specific builds designed for better performance and system stability. Xiaomi 15 users get version OS2.0.218.0 for both global and EEA, while Xiaomi 14T Pro users get OS2.0.216.0 (global) and OS2.0.215.0 (EEA). All versions include Android 16 and Xiaomi’s latest system upgrades.

The update features the July 2025 security patch and key improvements to system architecture that enhance stability, speed, and data protection.

To install, go to Settings > System Update. As always, it’s best to back up your files before updating, just to stay on the safe side.

Most phones should adapt smoothly, but a few third-party apps may not work properly right away. Xiaomi says developers are already working on fixes. Stay tuned for further updates.
