Xiaomi unveils HyperOS 3.0 based on Android 16, lists supported devices

HyperOS 3.0 brings new UI, AI tools, and beta rollout.

Xiaomi has launched HyperOS 3.0, its latest OS, with a fresh design, smarter AI, and better device connectivity. It is now available in beta for select phones and tablets.

The update brings Super Island, a dynamic UI element at the top of the screen that shows live app activities like flights, music, and messages. It works like Apple’s Dynamic Island but stays active in the notification panel for quick access.

HyperOS 3.0 also includes redesigned icons, a new status bar, and adjustable home screen grids. Xiaomi has replaced the Google dialer with its own version and introduced a revamped Photos app.

AI features have been improved, including AI Connect, which allows Xiaomi devices to share data with Apple products and even reply to Xiaomi messages from an iPhone.

The beta rollout begins August 29 and continues through September. The stable version of HyperOS 3.0 is expected to roll out in Q4 2025.

Here’s the list of eligible devices:
