Xiaomi announced that the REDMI Note Series has exceeded 460 million global shipments, cementing its place as one of the most successful mid-range smartphone lineups worldwide. This milestone shows the series’ role in driving Xiaomi’s growth and expanding its reach to more than 100 countries.
The REDMI Note Series was first launched in Singapore in 2014, selling out in under a minute. It quickly gained traction in India and later expanded to Latin America and Europe.
Known for combining performance, quality, and affordability, the lineup has consistently added new features once reserved for premium devices, such as high-resolution cameras, fast charging, and stronger durability.
Recent models highlight this evolution. The REDMI Note 12 Pro+ 5G debuted with a 200MP camera and OIS, while the REDMI Note 13 Pro+ 5G added IP68 water and dust resistance.
This month, Xiaomi launched the REDMI Note 15 Series globally. The new lineup introduces REDMI Titan Durability, Silicon-Carbon Battery technology, and the Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system. At the top, the REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G features a new 200MP sensor, comprehensive dust and water resistance, and SGS 5-star Premium Performance Certification.

Xiaomi’s investment in research and development supports these advances. The company spent RMB 23.5 billion (USD 3.3 billion) on R&D in the first three quarters of 2025, with plans to increase spending in 2026.
Backed by smart factories and a global R&D network, Xiaomi continues to scale innovation across smartphones, EVs, and home appliances.
