eGovPH back online after server upgrade

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has restored the eGovPH super app last Friday after downtime caused by server capacity issues. The app, which serves around 40 million users, went offline for several hours across two days while engineers upgraded its servers to handle the demand.

The DICT clarified that the disruption was not a security incident but the result of servers being overwhelmed by users. The upgrade also stabilized performance and prepared the system for the integration of more government services in the coming months.

eGovPH functions as a centralized digital gateway for public services. It allows citizens to access multiple digital IDs, file travel declarations, complete government transactions, sign documents electronically, and receive AI-assisted support.

Officials said they are working on further strengthening infrastructure, ensuring the platform can support higher usage as adoption grows.

With the app back online, citizens can once again access services without interruption.
