Digital National Senior Citizens ID now available on eGovPH app

It will simplify access to benefits and services nationwide.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) have launched the Digital National Senior Citizens ID (NSCID) through the eGovPH app. The rollout started on August 15, 2025.

The digital ID lets senior citizens access government benefits, discounts, and health services without needing physical documents.

According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, there are over 9 million senior citizens in the Philippines. As of July 2025, 8.4 million are registered with the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), and 1.2 million have activated their eGovPH accounts. Seniors with both will automatically receive their digital NSCID.

To help those who can’t register online, NCSC will work with local governments and partner groups to provide support.

Launched in June 2023, the eGovPH Super app allows users to file applications, track requests, verify identity, and submit documents remotely to over 70 government services. It’s also integrated with the national digital ID system, which includes over 88 million users.
