It looks like Google is working on a major upgrade to Gemini with a 24/7 personal AI agent. Internally called “Remy,” the tool is being tested by employees as a digital partner that can handle various tasks across work, school, and daily life.
Gemini Agent builds on features first introduced in late 2025. Unlike regular assistants, it’s designed to act proactively, taking actions on behalf of users.
It integrates with Google services to monitor events, manage schedules, share files, and even make purchases. Tasks are tracked in the Gemini app, where users can pin, rename, and continue them later.
Google describes it as “Your 24/7 digital partner.” It learns from user activity, personal context, and uploaded files, while also saving browser and cookie data like login credentials and browsing history.
Unfortunately, that raises privacy concerns, but Google says users will have control through dashboards to manage or delete activity, disable connected apps, and adjust personal intelligence settings.

The company notes the agent is still experimental. It may make mistakes or expose data unintentionally, and it’s not meant for professional tasks like legal, medical, or financial work.
Users are advised to supervise actions closely, especially when sensitive information is involved.
