Star Trek: Shadow Frontier sci‑fi horror game announced

Bloober Team, the studio behind Silent Hill 2 remake and Cronos: The New Dawn, has announced Star Trek: Shadow Frontier. The game is being developed with Paramount Games Studio and takes Star Trek into darker territory with a psychological thriller style.

The story centers on Ro Laren, the Bajoran officer from Star Trek: The Next Generation, once again played by Michelle Forbes. After responding to a distress call, Ro crash‑lands on a planet described as a “spaceship graveyard.”

The world is hostile, filled with twisted creatures, dangerous ecosystems, and a mysterious force that threatens her body and mind.

Bloober’s strength is in immersive storytelling, with a passion for blending sci‑fi and horror. A teaser trailer shows a tense, atmospheric tone that mixes Star Trek’s legacy with Bloober’s signature style.
