New Samsung Health app features coming to next-gen Galaxy Watch

Samsung is updating the Samsung Health app with new features starting June 8, 2026, rolling out first on the upcoming Galaxy Watch. The update brings clearer insights and a simpler design to help users track their wellness.

The new Vitals tool checks five overnight bio‑signals against a personal baseline: heart rate, variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen. Notifications only show up when there are meaningful changes.

Samsung also introduced a Heart Health Score, which combines sleep, stress, activity, and body composition into one daily metric. For workouts, the app adds Daily Cardio Load to measure cardiovascular strain and suggest training or rest, plus a Fitness Index that compares progress with peers using heart rate, VO₂ max, and steps.

The app’s layout is now organized into five pillars: Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Vitals. The home screen shows wellness tips and an AI‑powered Energy Score in one view.

Other insights include an Antioxidant Index with trend charts, an AGEs Index for long‑term lifestyle impact, and Hearing Health monitoring through the Galaxy Watch. These features sync across Galaxy phones and devices.

Samsung notes the tools are for wellness only, not medical use. The update requirements include Android 10+ and Samsung Health v7.0. Rollout schedule will vary by market and device.
