The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has revoked or suspended more than 800 driver’s licenses since October 2025 as part of its campaign to enforce road discipline in the Philippines.
The agency said the move is meant to strengthen compliance with traffic laws and promote responsible driving. Of the total, 434 licenses were revoked: 325 for two years, 15 for four years, and 94 permanently. Another 396 licenses were suspended, with penalties ranging from one month to one year.
The crackdown is part of the government’s push to improve public safety and reduce accidents linked to reckless driving. By imposing stricter penalties, the LTO hopes to deter violations and encourage motorists to follow traffic rules more closely.
