Samsung 990 SSD now available in PH, starts at ₱19,075

Samsung has launched the new 990 SSD in the Philippines, offering faster speeds and improved power efficiency for gamers and creators. The global rollout starts July 15, 2026, with local prices at ₱19,075 for 1TB and ₱37,678 for 2TB.

The Samsung 990 SSD supports PCIe 4.0 and uses the latest NAND technology. The 2TB model delivers up to 7,250 MB/s read and 6,450 MB/s write speeds, while the 1TB version reaches 7,150 MB/s read and 6,450 MB/s write.

Random performance hits 1,200K write IOPS for the 2TB model and 700K IOPS for the 1TB model. This means faster app launches, smoother gameplay, and efficient handling of large workloads.

The 2TB variant can store around 30 AAA games (averaging 64GB each), making it ideal for users managing large files or creative projects. Samsung also improved power efficiency by up to 38% compared to the 990 PRO, allowing sustained high performance with lower power draw.

The Samsung Magician Software helps optimize performance, monitor drive health, and protect data.
