Google Maps has rolled out Ask Maps in the Philippines, its biggest update in more than ten years. The new tool helps people move around during the rainy and typhoon season with live updates on roads, routes, and places.
Ask Maps lets you ask direct questions inside the app. You can check if roads between Quezon City and BGC are closed or flooded. The app then gives real-time answers on closures, delays, and conditions so you can plan trips better.
It also works for daily needs. If you want ramen but don’t want to walk in the rain, the feature can suggest a nearby spot you can reach faster. It shows live business status, trip ideas, and practical tips to make travel easier.

Ask Maps is now available in the Google Maps app. This update makes the app more useful for Filipinos dealing with heavy rains and traffic problems. To use it, open the Maps app and tap Ask Maps. You can either type in a question or talk by tapping the microphone key.
