Roblox is celebrating its 20th year with new ways for players to play, build, and grow. The company announced several updates and events at the Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) this September.
Starting September 8, players can switch to the Roblox 20th Classic Mode. The limited-time theme brings back the old logo, colors, and font. Special 20th-anniversary user-generated content (UGC) items are also available for players to collect.
On September 12, Roblox wrapped up RDC with the 2026 Roblox Innovation Awards. The event honored developers and studios that pushed creativity on the platform. Winners include RIVALS by Nosniy Games for Best Shooter, Nosniy Games for Best Studio, and Animal Hospital, which took home both the People’s Choice and Builderman Awards.
The celebration continues on September 17 with The Hunt: Roblox 20. This flagship event runs until September 28. Themed “The Classic Meets Mega Hunt,” it features a central Hub where players can explore all 20 years of Roblox history. Each portal leads to a top game from every year, and players can earn exclusive UGC rewards by completing challenges.
