Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite are coming to the Philippines

Xiaomi is officially bringing the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite to the Philippines.

Xiaomi’s local office has brought most of its smartphone lineup to the Philippines. Recently, the company announced that the Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite are the latest devices it’s bringing over.

As is with the Mi MIX 3, price and availability information was withheld. Fortunately, the prices in China are already available, which could give us an idea how much each of the handsets would cost when they get here.

In China, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro retails for CNY 3,200 (roughly PHP 25,500) for the 6GB/128GB variant, and CNY 3,600 (PHP 28,400) for the 8GB/128GB.

The Mi 8 Lite, on the other hand, is priced at CNY 1,400 (PHP 11,100) for the 4GB/64GB, CNY 1,700 (PHP 13,400) for the 6GB/64GB, and CNY 2,000 (PHP15,800) for the 6GB/128GB.

The prices will probably be a few thousand pesos higher than these.

We’re expecting the handsets to launch in the coming days, before the year ends.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro comes with a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB of storage. It has 12MP + 12MP dual rear cameras and a 20MP selfie shooter.

The phone also features an in-display fingerprint scanner and a IR face unlock. It has a 3,400 mAh battery with Quick Charge and runs on Android Oreo.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, on the other hand, has a 6.26-inch LCD display, a Snapdragon 660 chipset 12MP + 5MP rear camera, a 24MP selfie shooter, 4GB/6GB RAM, and 64GB/128GB storage.

It also has a standard fingerprint scanner at the back, Android Oreo, and a 3,350 mAh battery.
