AnTuTu recently released their top 10 best performing Android phones list for the month of January 2019. And similar to the December 2018 list, Huawei once again leads the pack.
This month, the top 4 phones are rocking HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipsets with the Huawei Mate 20 on top with an average score of 303,903. It is closely followed by the Huawei Mate 20 X with 299,608, the Honor Magic 2 with 298,628, and the Huawei’s current flagship, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro with 297,294.
According to AnTuTu, the four Huawei devices (Honor being a sub-brand) ran the benchmarking app with the performance mode turned off, leading to a fairer result.

For the rest of the list, we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 devices with Android 9 Pie. At five sits the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S with 297,077, followed by the ROG Phone with 297,030, the OnePlus 6 with 296,166, the OnePlus 6T with 296,010, the Xiaomi Mi 8 with 295,941, and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 with 295,117.
Moving forward, the scores reflect what we should expect from incoming flagships this year. This February, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series and the Xiaomi Mi 9 will debut. Let’s see if they’ll crack the list come March.
AnTuTu sets statistical rules to qualify. Scores are averaged, and collected from January 1 to 31, 2019. At least 1000 units should be tested using AnTuTu Benchmark V7.
