Xiaomi Mi CC9, Mi CC9e with 32MP selfie camera announced

Xiaomi recently unveiled the new CC series featuring the Xiaomi Mi CC9 and the Xiaomi Mi CC9e. The smartphones offer 32MP selfie cameras, AMOLED displays, and 4030mAh batteries.

The phones will be available in China starting July 5, 2019.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 comes with a 6.39-inch full HD AMOLED display with 2380 x 1080 resolution, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a dewdrop notch.

Inside, you have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with 6 or 8GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options. Battery capacity is set at 4,030mAh with 18W fast charging support.

It runs on MIUI 10 on top of Android Pie. Other notable features include a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC.

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 is priced at CNY 1,799 for the 64GB variant, and CNY 1,999 for the 6GB 128GB variant. Converted, that’s roughly PHP 13,400 (USD 260) and PHP 14,900 (USD 290), respectively.

Xioami Mi CC9e

The other device on the CC series is the Xiaomi Mi CC9e. It offers the similar feature set and specs but with a smaller form factor. The “e” in the name means Essential Edition.

Most of the specs are the same as the CC9, save for the display and the processor. The Mi CC9e fronts a 6-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a 1560 x 720 resolution and the in-display fingerprint scanner. It also has a newer octa-core Snapdragon 665 processor.

The smaller form factor, however, did not affect the battery size and remains at 4030mAh.

Xiaomi CC9e Meitu Edition

The Xiaomi Mi CC9e is priced at CNY 1,299 for the 4GB + 64GB version, CNY 1,399 for the 6GB + 64GB, and CNY 1,599 for the 6GB + 128GB. That’s roughly PHP 9,700 (USD 190), PHP 10,400 (USD 200), and PHP 12,000 (USD 230), respectively.

A Xiaomi Mi CC9 Meitu Edition was also announced featuring a special pearl white color way. It is identical to the CC9, except that it comes with camera tweaks such as AI low light portrait mode, a movie portrait mode, and AI body beauty filters.

The Mi CC9 Meitu Edition is priced at CNY 2,599 or around PHP 19,400 (USD 380).
