DICT’s hotline received nearly 500 complaints on SIM registration

According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), its hotline logged nearly 500 complaints on SIM registration.

DICT spokesperson and Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo said the 24/7 SIM registration complaint center, which they launched on December 27, received a total of 481 complaints as of December 29, 2022.

From the total, there were 195 complaints for Smart, 121 for Globe, 83 for TNT, 41 for DITO, 20 for TM, 14 for Sun Cellular, and seven for Gomo.

When telco’s opened their respective SIM registration portal last December 27, it was marred by glitches and other issues which caused many SIM owners to air their concerns on various social media channels.

Should you have issues or concerns regarding SIM registration, you can call the complaint center hotline by dialing 1326.
