The Department of Information and Technology (DICT) announced the SIM registration deadline is on April 26, 2023. Unregistered SIMs after the deadline will be automatically deactivated.

SIM card registration started on December 27, 2022, marred with various issues including downed portals and other errors. Despite this, over three million SIM cards across all telcos were registered during the first two days alone.
