Apple launches new MacBook Pro with M3 chips: Price in the Philippines unveiled

Apple announced the new MacBook Pro lineup, which features the all-new family of M3 chips: M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max. The new chips are designed to deliver breakthrough performance and power efficiency for the most demanding creative workflows.

The new MacBook Pro models come in two sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch. Both models feature a stunning Liquid Retina XDR display, a redesigned keyboard with a Touch Bar, a MagSafe 3 port for fast charging, and a variety of ports for connectivity.

The new MacBook Pro also introduces a notch on the top of the display, which houses a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and an array of microphones.

Apple MacBook Pro M3

The new MacBook Pro 14-inch M3 variant starts at ₱104,990 in the Philippines. The M3 Pro variant starts at ₱129,990, and the M3 Max variant is priced at ₱201,990. The new MacBook Pro 14-inch features two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a headphone jack, and a 70W USB-C Power Adapter. The M3 Pro variant has three Thunderbolt 4 ports, instead of two.

The new MacBook Pro 16-inch M3 Pro variant starts at ₱159,990 in the Philippines. The M3 Max variant starts at ₱249,990. The new MacBook Pro 16-inch features three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a headphone jack, and a 140W USB-C Power Adapter.

Apple MacBook Pro M3

The new M3 chips are based on Apple’s custom silicon architecture and use a 5-nanometer process technology. The M3 chip has eight CPU cores, ten GPU cores, and up to 24GB of unified memory, while the M3 Pro chip has up to 12 CPU cores, up to 18 GPU cores, and up to 36GB of unified memory.

The M3 Max chip, on the other hand, has up to 16 CPU cores, up to 40 GPU cores, and up to 128GB of unified memory, making it the most powerful chip ever in a Mac.

According to Apple, the new MacBook Pro M3 is up to 60 percent faster than the 13‑inch MacBook Pro M1. It also offers more efficient battery life with up to 11 additional hours compared to the fastest Intel-based MacBook Pro model.

The new MacBook Pro is coming to the Philippines soon. Availability details are yet to be announced.
