If you’re wondering which smartphones will get the update, well, here’s your answer. A report from GSM China confirmed via a Xiaomi server listing that the HyperOS 1.0 global update will be rolled out to the following devices in the first quarter of 2024:
- Xiaomi 13 Ultra

These are the first devices that will enjoy the benefits of HyperOS. However, the update is probably going to roll out in batches, so don’t worry if your device is not yet on the list.
Xiaomi announced the HyperOS operating system in October 2023. It was slated to eventually replace its long-standing MIUI software.
HyperOS is based on Android mixed with Xiaomi’s own Vela system, which is designed to support its ecosystem of devices and applications across 200 categories, including smart home products, cars, and more. It focuses on four major goals: Low-level Refactoring, Cross-End Intelligent Connectivity, Proactive Intelligence, and End-to-End Security.
According to Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, the new OS will provide a unified system framework for the Internet of Everything, which will connect tens of billions of devices and users in the future.
