Nintendo Music is a new music streaming app exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The app, which is now available on iOS and Android devices, offers a curated collection of full game soundtracks.
The app is just like any other music streaming service. Users can browse the library by game, platform, or character, as well as create personalized playlists based on mood or game moments such as boss battles. Moreover, users can also block out music from key moments of a game to avoid spoilers.
Offline listening is supported, allowing subscribers to enjoy their game tunes even without an internet connection.
At launch, the app’s music library is relatively limited, with less than 15 songs from franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, and Animal Crossing. However, Nintendo has confirmed that more tracks will be added in the future.
With Nintendo Music, the company is providing a dedicated platform for fans to enjoy their favorite game soundtracks. However, it remains to be seen whether the service can coexist with other established music streaming platforms.
Nintendo Music is free to download on iOS and Android devices. Sadly, it is not yet available in all countries.
