Nintendo Switch 2 is now available for pre-order in the Philippines

Gamers, get ready! The Nintendo Switch 2 is now available for pre-order in the Philippines ahead of its official launch. The highly anticipated console is set to arrive in the country, along with Singapore and Thailand, on June 26, 2025.

Where to Pre-Order

Pre-orders are available at the country’s top gaming retailers: DataBlitz, GameXtreme, and GameOne PH. However, official pricing has yet to be announced, meaning these are blind pre-orders. All three retailers require a ₱5,000 down payment to reserve a unit.

The Nintendo Switch 2 introduces several upgrades over its predecessor:

  • Display: A 7.9-inch FHD LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals.
  • Connectivity: Two USB-C ports for charging and accessories.
  • Dock: Supports 4K resolution, HDR, and VRR, enhancing gameplay on compatible TVs.
  • Performance: Faster processing speeds and shorter loading times.
  • Storage: 256GB of internal storage, eight times more than the original Switch. However, it only supports microSD Express cards, meaning older microSD cards are incompatible.
  • Redesigned Joy-Con 2 controllers: Magnetic attachment. Improved durability and responsiveness. Larger SL/SR buttons and bigger control sticks. Mouse mode for select games.
  • GameChat: Press the new C button to access. Players can engage in voice and video chat. Video chat requires Nintendo Switch 2 Camera (sold separately).
