PLDT is offering free International Direct Dial (IDD) landline calls from the Philippines to Iran and Israel until June 25, 2025. The move comes in response to growing unrest in the Middle East and aims to help Filipinos stay in touch with family abroad.
The free calls are available to all PLDT landline subscribers nationwide and cover both landline and mobile numbers in Iran and Israel.
PLDT Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan stressed the importance of staying connected in times of crisis. “Communication is especially critical during uncertain times. We want to help give peace of mind to Filipinos who simply want to hear their loved ones’ voices and know they’re safe.”
PLDT subsidiary Smart Communications is also offering free international calls, data roaming, and a 24/7 crisis hotline for Filipinos in Iran and Israel.
More than 30,000 Filipinos currently live and work in Iran and Israel. Many of them have loved ones in the Philippines who rely on regular updates for safety and reassurance.
