New Spotify Premium prices in the Philippines; Global increases coming soon

Global price hikes expected in select markets starting September 2025.

Spotify has increased its Premium subscription prices in the Philippines, with monthly rates rising by ₱20 to ₱40 compared to 2023.

Here are the updated prices:

  • Student: ₱85 per month
  • Individual: ₱169 per month (up from ₱149 in 2023)
  • Duo: ₱229 per month (up from ₱199 in 2023)
  • Family: ₱279 per month (up from ₱239 in 2023)

Spotify Premium offers features like ad-free listening, offline downloads, higher sound quality, unlimited skips, and access to millions of songs and podcasts. The Duo plan is for two people living together, while the Family plan supports up to six separate accounts under one household.

Spotify also announced that Premium prices will increase in more countries starting September. The changes will affect markets across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. However, the company hasn’t shared which countries will be affected or how much prices will change.

Key Premium features include:

  • No ads while listening
  • Download music for offline use
  • Play any song anytime
  • High-quality audio streaming
  • Listen with friends in real time
  • Organize your listening queue
  • K-Pop listening parties (not available in Mini)

In contrast, Apple Music prices remain at ₱75 per month for the Student plan, ₱139 per month for the Individual plan, and ₱219 per month for the Family plan. They also offer ad-free music streaming with Spatial Audio and lossless quality options.

Meanwhile, the standalone YouTube Music Premium starts at ₱75 for the Student plan, ₱149 for the Individual plan, and ₱239 per month for the Family plan. It is also bundled with YouTube Premium, which comes with other features.

With prices going up, will you stay with Spotify or switch to another music streaming service?
