Spotify lets users edit their Taste Profile in new beta

Spotify has started testing a new feature called Taste Profile, giving Premium subscribers more control over how the app recommends music, podcasts, and audiobooks. The beta is first available in New Zealand.

Taste Profile shows how Spotify understands your listening habits and lets you adjust them. You can mark favorite genres, reduce certain types of content, or share your current mood to change what appears on your homepage.

To edit your Taste Profile, open the Spotify app and go to your profile. From there, go to Taste Profile and tweak to your liking. These changes update instantly and affect future recommendations.

The feature combines long-term preferences, such as favorite artists or genres, with short-term habits like workout playlists or commute podcasts. This way, Spotify can adapt to lifestyle changes, whether you’re training for a marathon or exploring new music styles.
