Spotify has rolled out Running Mode on its iOS app for Premium users. The feature is live in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden.
Running Mode is part of the Fitness Hub and includes 25 running-specific playlists. You can set them by workout type, duration, beats per minute, or music style. Each playlist flows smoothly from one track to the next, keeping pace steady while you run.
Spotify also added optional audio cues in English. These short prompts guide your workout and are described as “like a supportive friend running alongside you.” They aim to motivate without breaking rhythm.
The company says fitness prompts have been popular, which led to Running Mode. By mixing playlists with audio guidance, Spotify wants to make workouts more personal and engaging.

For now, Running Mode is only for Premium users in select countries. Expect a wider rollout if demand is strong.
