Redmi 15 5G to launch in India on August 19 with 7000mAh battery, 144Hz display

The phone will come in three colors: Midnight Black, Frosted White and Sandy Purple.

Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi 15 5G to India on August 19. The phone was first released in Malaysia and is now set to reach Indian stores with a few changes in color options.

Redmi 15 5G India

The Redmi 15 5G has a large 6.9-inch Full HD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s certified for low blue light, which helps reduce eye strain. Inside, it runs on a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip.

Battery life is a key feature. The phone packs a massive 7000mAh battery with 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging.

For photos, it has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP front shooter. The camera app will include tools like AI Erase and film-style filters.

The phone runs HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. Xiaomi promises two years of Android updates and four years of security patches. Other features include a side fingerprint scanner, face unlock, Dolby-certified audio, IP64 rating, and extra loud speakers.
