Apple has officially launched the iPhone 17, and this year, there’s no “Plus” version in the lineup.
The new model features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display, this time with ProMotion and thinner bezels. It also comes with a stronger Ceramic Shield front cover and improved scratch resistance.
The iPhone 17 introduces a new Center Stage front camera with an 18MP sensor. It supports landscape selfies and AI-powered framing. On the back, it has a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system with main and ultra wide lenses.
Powering the device is Apple’s new A19 chip, built on 3nm technology. It promises faster performance and better battery life. Apple says the phone can last up to 30 hours of video playback. It also supports fast charging with a 40W adapter.
The iPhone 17 starts with 256GB of storage and is available in five colors: black, lavender, mist blue, sage, and white. Pre-orders begin on September 12, with availability starting September 19.
Price in the Philippines
In the Philippines, the iPhone 17 is priced at ₱57,990 for the 256GB model. The 512GB variant costs ₱72,990. Expect local pre-orders to begin around October.
Apple has not announced a Plus version this year, making the iPhone 17 the only non-Pro model in the lineup.
