Apple has started rolling out the iOS 27.2 update for supported iPhones. The update adds new Siri features, app improvements, and security fixes across the platform.
The biggest changes focus on Siri. Apple’s AI assistant can now remember past conversations and pull information from apps like Messages, Calendar, Safari, and voicemail. It also now supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish on supported devices.
Messages gets a new Suggestions feature that can help turn conversations into reminders or calendar events. Apple also added more options to control what suggestions appear.
Several Apple apps are getting updates as well. Apple Music now has a new black-and-white icon, refreshed widgets, and a blue accent color inside the app. Podcasts now separates New Episodes and Continue Playing.
Photos gains new Shared Albums tools and support for SynthID watermarks. The feature helps identify AI-generated and AI-edited images. Apple TV also gets profile improvements and expanded Multiview support for live sports.
FaceTime now supports Dual Capture during group calls. Support for third-party sign language interpreters and live captioners is also included. Meanwhile, the iPhone Duo can now work with the Apple Pencil (USB-C).
The Home app receives new smart lock controls, including door-left-open alerts and automatic locking after a door closes. Apple says iOS 27.2 also fixes more than 160 security vulnerabilities.
