BPI will begin charging a ₱15 fee for cash-in transactions made via InstaPay starting October 1, 2025. This includes transfers to GCash and other e-wallets. The move follows similar changes made for ShopeePay and SeaBank in August.
The fee covers clearing costs from BancNet, the designated switch operator for InstaPay. According to BPI, the change aligns with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) directive to improve transparency and interoperability in digital financial services.
Despite the new charge, BPI continues to offer lower-cost and free options:
- BPI App: Transfers to GCash via InstaPay cost only ₱10.
- BPI #MySaveUp (via GSave): Transfers from the BPI app to GSave are free. No maintaining balance required. Withdrawals from GSave to GCash are also free.
- Select customers and merchant payments: May still enjoy free transfers.
