Motorists involved in road rage incidents might face a lifetime ban from driving, according to Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Markus Lacanilao. The agency is finally taking a strong stance against aggressive behavior on the road.
Lacanilao said road rage reflects a lack of emotional control, which makes individuals unfit to operate a vehicle.
The LTO plans to strictly enforce this policy. The agency aims to prevent violent confrontations, especially those that escalate into physical harm. Hopefully, this makes drivers think twice before stepping out of their vehicles to confront others, as such actions will carry serious legal penalties.

Road rage has long been a problem in the Philippines, with incidents dating back to the early 1990s. Motorists are urged to stay calm and avoid confrontations, as even a single incident could result in permanent loss of driving privileges.
