Samsung is set to bring AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26 series through Quick Share. This means Galaxy users will finally be able to send and receive files with iPhones and other Apple devices.
Quick Share has been Samsung’s answer to fast file transfers, working across Galaxy phones, tablets, and even Windows PCs. But it has always been limited to Samsung’s ecosystem. Adding AirDrop compatibility will mean smoother sharing between Android and Apple devices.
It’s a move that follows Google’s rollout of Quick Share on Pixel phones and OPPO’s similar plans, showing that brands are starting to agree on common standards.
The update is expected to roll out later this year. Samsung has not given an exact date, but the change shows the company’s focus on convenience, not just hardware specs. For many users, this solves a long‑standing frustration when trying to send files to friends who use iPhones.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra has already earned praise for its performance and cameras. Adding AirDrop support makes it more practical in everyday use, especially for those who have both Android and Apple devices.
What do you think? Should other Android brands follow Samsung in supporting AirDrop?
