According to the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), they are scheduled to meet with Roblox Corporation on April 7 to 9, 2026, to discuss child safety issues raised by Philippine authorities. The talks come after CICC warned that Roblox’s current safeguards are not enough to protect minors from online predators.
The meeting will likely take place in Manila, with CICC officials pressing Roblox to present a clear compliance plan. Undersecretary Renato Paraiso has said that stronger protections are required for Filipino children, including localized safety measures. Without these changes, Roblox risks being banned nationwide starting April 10.
Concerns about the platform include reports of predators and criminals posing as gamers to solicit personal information or exploit minors. While Roblox currently offers parental controls, age-based restrictions, and 24/7 moderation, CICC argues these tools fall short in the Philippine context.
Local telecommunications companies have confirmed they will enforce a ban if ordered by regulators. The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is prepared to coordinate blocking measures should Roblox fail to meet compliance requirements.
CICC also announced a high-level summit on March 31 with government agencies, educators, parents, and child advocates. The goal is to form a unified stance on protecting Filipino children online ahead of the April talks with Roblox Corporation.

The upcoming negotiations will decide whether millions of Filipino players can continue accessing Roblox. Parents are advised to remain vigilant and supervise children’s online activities while the government reviews Roblox’s safety commitments.
