PLDT Enterprise expands Starlink broadband in the Philippines

PLDT Enterprise is pushing satellite broadband deeper into the Philippine market through its partnership with Starlink Corporate Broadband Services. The collaboration started commercial operations in mid‑2025, making PLDT the first and only local telco partner to offer Starlink’s enterprise broadband.

Since launch, the service has gained strong momentum. By the first quarter of 2026, PLDT Enterprise had already deployed nearly 1,000 Starlink units to corporations, government offices, logistics operators, energy firms, financial institutions, retail businesses, and organizations in remote or disaster‑prone areas.

PLDT COO Butch Jimenez said, “In a challenging telco environment, timing is key. And we believe now is the right time to deploy satellite broadband services.” The company has integrated Starlink into its wider suite of enterprise solutions, positioning satellite broadband alongside fiber and wireless services.

The partnership follows similar success in Asia. In Japan, KDDI began deploying thousands of Starlink‑powered enterprise broadband and satellite backhaul solutions as early as 2022 to support businesses, maritime operations, disaster recovery, and cellular resiliency.
