Waze has launched a new Motorcycle Mode for two-wheelers, rolling out first in the Philippines, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, and Peru. The feature uses AI-powered routing to account for shortcuts, road restrictions, and hazards such as potholes, speed bumps, raised crosswalks, shoulder endings, and narrow bridges.
The update also introduces Conversational Reporting, allowing riders to report closures or outdated addresses using natural voice commands. These reports are reviewed by local map editors to keep navigation accurate.
A Gemini-powered voice search is also in beta, enabling queries like “find nearby coffee shops open now” or “nearest gas station with lowest fuel prices.”
Another new feature is Personalized Navigation, which suggests routes based on traffic and user preferences, such as avoiding highways or favoring local roads. This option can be disabled in settings.
For those who prefer fewer interruptions, Waze now offers a Less Chatty Mode, reducing voice prompts while keeping essential alerts like turns, lane guidance, and hazard warnings.

All features are rolling out in stages for Android and iOS users. With Motorcycle Mode, Waze is expanding beyond cars to better serve riders in countries where motorcycles are a primary mode of transport.
