Samsung unveils AI-powered smart glasses with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker

Samsung has launched its latest smart glasses in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The new device blends features Google’s Gemini AI and Android XR platform, offering hands-free, context-aware assistance in a compact wearable form.

The glasses run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, built for thin and light eyewear. They feature a built-in camera that supports photo capture, video recording, and live sharing.

Instead of a display, feedback is delivered through audio, keeping the design slim and practical. Gentle Monster created a sleek black frame, while Warby Parker designed a brown everyday style, giving users fashionable options.

Samsung’s smart glasses is a natural extension of the Galaxy experience. They summarize long messages, read important information aloud, and translate conversations in real time.

They also provide navigation and sightseeing guidance, connect relevant information across tasks, and allow users to share or record what they see during calls. Controls are managed through voice commands, touch-sensitive temples, or connected devices.

“Google and Samsung have a shared vision to bring helpful and context-aware intelligence into everyday life,” said Sameer Samat, President of Android Ecosystem at Google.

“Built on the Android XR platform, the intelligent eyewear blends world-class designs with Gemini’s advanced assistance that naturally responds to what you see, delivering all-day, hands-free help. We’re excited to continue this momentum and bring this experience to people soon.”
