Here are the Galaxy phones that will get One UI 9. Samsung has started rolling out the update, based on Android 17. The Galaxy S26 series got the update first in South Korea, followed by T-Mobile users in the US.
The latest foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8, already come with One UI 9 out of the box. The Galaxy S25 series and Z Fold/Flip 7 are next, with updates expected before the end of September.
Other models like the Galaxy S24, S23, Z Fold/Flip 6 and 5, A-series, tablets, and rugged phones will get it later in 2026.
One UI 9 brings new AI features. My FanCam lets you refocus videos on a chosen person. Now Nudge gives smart suggestions, like showing reservations in chats.
Motion Assist adjusts animations to help reduce car sickness. Privacy Alerts warn you when apps use the camera or mic in the background.
Other updates include a bottom search bar, customizable quick settings, better document scanning, and repair booking options.

To check if the update is ready, go to Settings, Software update, then Download and install. The file is big, so connect to Wi-Fi, free up storage, and keep your phone charging while installing.
The rollout will take time depending on your carrier and region. Keep checking for One UI 9, as more Galaxy devices are set to receive it this year.
