The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) recently rolled out SIM Registration assistance in three locations in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or BARMM.

The initiative in BARMM aims to supplement SIM Registration in the country’s remote areas with limited connectivity, as well as assist those with legacy mobile phones.

The schedule for SIM Registration in BARMM is listed below:

  • January 25 – Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao
  • January 26 – Lamitan, Basilan, Public Market
  • January 27 – Bonggao, Tawi-Tawi, Public Market

The DICT also rolled out a 3-day SIM registration caravan targeting to five regions per day from January 25 to 27, 2023.

Smart and TNT were the first to deploy assisted SIM Registration booths and touchpoints across the country starting December 27, 2022, on the same day Smart launched its SIM Registration portal.

So far, over 25.5 million SIM cards or about 15.1 percent of the 168,977,773 million subscribers nationwide have been registered, as of January 25, 2023.

The deadline for SIM registration is on April 26, 2023. For details on how to register your SIM cards, go here.
