DOTr reallocates ₱50M to upgrade client facilities at LTO, LTFRB offices

The agency aims to give people clean, comfortable spaces while they wait for services.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is holding off on plans to buy new vehicles for its central office. Instead, it’s using the ₱50 million budget to upgrade LTO and LTFRB facilities.

Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez signed the order on October 16. Upgrades could include air conditioning, water dispensers, and more seating. Lopez stressed that serving the public should come first. “We are the Filipinos’ servants, not their lords,” he said.

The budget is valid until the end of 2025. DOTr has directed both agencies to use the funds wisely and focus on improvements that benefit the public.
