Apple rolls out iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 with Android transfer tool

Apple has started rolling out iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 to compatible iPhones and iPads. The update is available worldwide and can be downloaded through Settings > General > Software Update.

The highlight of the release is a new Android transfer tool. This makes it easier to move data from an iPhone or iPad to an Android during setup. It supports photos, messages, notes, apps, passwords, and contacts. Apple added the feature to comply with the EU’s Digital Markets Act, but it is also available globally.

Another addition is a setting that lets users control carrier-based location tracking. At launch, it works with select carriers in the US, UK, Germany, and Thailand. The option is limited to devices with C1 or C1X modems.

Apple also tested new features for third-party wearables in Europe. These include proximity pairing for headphones and smartwatches, richer notifications, and the ability to forward alerts to one connected device. However, these beta features may not be part of the final release.
