Apple Music and TikTok have announced a new partnership that lets users listen to full songs inside the TikTok app. The feature, called Play Full Song, is available to Apple Music subscribers and uses Apple’s MusicKit to make sure streams count and artists get paid.
This means fans can enjoy complete tracks without leaving TikTok, while artists and rights holders benefit from proper credit and royalties.
With this update, TikTok users can save tracks to “Your Music” and add them directly to Apple Music playlists. It’s a step up from the older “Add to Music App” option, giving fans a smoother way to go from short clips to full tracks.
This integration also makes it easier to build playlists from songs discovered on TikTok, turning quick moments of discovery into longer listening sessions.
TikTok is also introducing Listening Party, a social feature where fans and artists can listen together in real time. This adds a new way for communities to connect and for artists to engage with their listeners. By sharing music in the moment, fans can feel closer to the artists they follow and discover songs alongside others.
