Apple will unveil the iPhone 18 lineup on September 9, 2026, at Apple Park in Cupertino. Preorders for the Pro and Pro Max start on September 11, with in-store sales on September 18. A foldable iPhone Ultra is also expected, though supply chain issues with hinges and displays could push its release further.
The delay affects the standard iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air 2, now rumored for spring 2027 (March to June). This marks a change in Apple’s strategy, moving to a staggered release schedule instead of launching all models together. The budget iPhone 18E is also expected around March 2027, following the pattern of past E-series devices.
Rumored updates for the lineup include smaller dynamic islands and cameras with variable aperture, aimed at improving photography.
