Apple releases iOS 26.7 for supported iPhones with security fixes

Apple has released a smaller software update, iOS 26.7, for supported iPhones alongside the major iOS 27 release. This update gives you a safe way to keep using your phone if you’re not yet ready to download the massive software upgrade for now.

Apple often releases smaller updates for older systems on the same day as major software launches. This gives iPhone owners two clear options. You can upgrade straight to iOS 27, or you can stay on iOS 26 and keep getting safety fixes.

The iOS 26.7 update does not add any new features. Instead, it focuses completely on keeping your phone safe and smooth. Apple loaded the download with critical security patches and bug fixes to protect your device from potential threats.

Apple shared a full list of these security patches in its release notes. Since these fixes protect your personal data, downloading the update is smart even without big interface changes.
