Apple officially launched iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and tvOS 27 worldwide. The massive software updates bring performance gains, visual controls, stronger parental tools, and a redesigned Siri to supported devices.
Your devices will feel faster right after updating. Apps launch up to 30% faster on iPhone and iPad. Photos load up to 70% quicker, and AirDrop transfers speed up by 80%. Files move up to 5 times faster to external USB drives on iPad. System search across Spotlight, Photos, and Mail works more efficiently. A new Mail ranking system surfaces your most relevant Top Hits.
Design changes center on Liquid Glass. A new slider in Settings lets you adjust transparency from clear to tinted. App icons look sharper.
Child safety tools get a major overhaul. The new Ask to Browse feature requires parents to approve new Safari websites. Communication Safety now automatically blocks violent content or gore in shared media. The redesigned Screen Time menu lets you set daily app allowances for Games, Social Media, and Entertainment.

Other additions include useful everyday features. The Health app adds perimenopause and menopause tracking. AirPods get custom EQ settings, while AirPods Pro 3 sync heart rate data during workouts through GymKit. Apple Maps adds AI features to Flyover visuals. Apple Watch adds single-handed tap gestures for widgets.
The update also brings a redesigned Siri AI. It is smarter, more capable, and understands your context better. It powers helpful features across your everyday apps, making tasks like editing photos, writing messages or emails, and browsing Safari much faster.
