MediaTek has announced the Dimensity CX C10 Max, its new flagship chip for AI laptops, debuting in a Lenovo Googlebook. The processor is part of MediaTek’s CX line, built to challenge Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series.
The Dimensity CX C10 Max is made on TSMC’s 3nm process. It packs an octa-core “All Big Core” CPU with one Cortex-X925, three Cortex-X4, and four Cortex-A720 cores. Graphics are handled by an 11-core GPU, while AI tasks run on an 8th-gen NPU that delivers up to 55 TOPs.
MediaTek designed the chip for thin and light laptops that run without fans. It promises long battery life and smooth performance for AI-heavy workloads. The chip also supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, but these features are not enabled in Googlebook devices.
The first device to use the Dimensity CX C10 Max will be a Lenovo Googlebook. Reports point to a leaked tablet running Googlebook OS, not the Intel-powered 15-inch model. This marks MediaTek’s entry into the Googlebook ecosystem, giving users another option beyond Intel and Qualcomm.
The Dimensity CX C10 Max puts MediaTek in the race for AI laptops. It aims to deliver strong performance, efficient power use, and extended battery life for everyday tasks and advanced AI features.
