Sony has rolled out the Reon Pocket 6, its sixth‑generation wearable air conditioner that can keep you cool or warm on demand. The device is worn around the neck and uses compact thermo modules to regulate body temperature more efficiently.
There are two versions: the RNPK‑6 standalone unit and the RNPK‑6T sensing kit, which comes with the Reon Pocket Tag 2 sensor to measure ambient temperature and humidity. Both feature a new Dual Thermo Module system that improves cooling performance by about 2 degrees Celsius compared to the previous model.
Sony added an Adaptive Hold Design that fits neck sizes from 28 to 46 cm, with a flexible tube for a secure fit. Adjustable airflow vents let users adjust cooling or heating depending on collar height and neck shape. There are five physical buttons on the side for quick control of power, modes, and temperature without needing a smartphone.
Battery life runs 3 to 10 hours in COOL mode and 3 to 7 hours in WARM mode, with fast charging to 80% in about an hour. The device is water‑ and dust‑resistant, weighs around 165g, and comes in a light gray finish.
